Arona Mane :: released December 16 2016
Whilst everyone else is trying to colour inside the lines, Arona Mane is creating a completely new palette. His outside-the-box approach to music attracts extraordinary soundscapes and flawless sound design to create #RetroFuture masterpieces. His latest offering, 'P.O.T.G.S' (Pass Over That Good Shit), combines soothing vocal adlibs from Sydney vocalist Milan with temperate synth chords, grooved-out drums and bellowing bass plucks to create a super chilled summer jam.
Sydney-based producer Arona Mane has spent the better part of 2016 making those in the know stand up and take notice of his constant stream of smooth, '80s-tinged, funked-out remixes, edits and originals. Kickstarting the year with his release 'Things You Do' being premiered on Triple J's Friday Night Shuffle, the track went on to make its way onto the HBO series Ballers. Arona's last offering, 'Teardrops', was a stunning homage to Womack & Womack's classic.
Arona Mane dropped his debut EP '2096: Retro/Future' in June of 2016, with the much-hyped collection already racking up over 700,000 plays on SoundCloud. '2096: Retro/Future' introduced Arona Mane's sound to the world, showcasing a variety of inspirations from hip-hop, funk, RnB and disco.
With the likes of Hypetrak, Dancing Astronaut, Earmilk, Stoney Roads, Nylon Mag and Pilerats (who dubbed him "Australia's answer to Kaytranada") amongst his most vocal supporters, plus the almighty Diplo himself enlisting Arona for a Radio 1 premiered Major Lazer remix as well as including two of his latest releases in his Diplo & Friends show this month, Arona Mane's jams will get you high. So hurry up and Pass Over That Good Shit.
