THE ART OF MIXING GOOD FOOD, FRIENDS AND MUSIC.
Whether it’s music or a meal, using the finest, freshest ingredients is essential. After all, how can the sum of the parts inspire the soul if the pieces of the puzzle don’t fit together in the first place? When it comes to mixing, a dinner party is the ultimate social experiment, blending company and conversation, libation and laughter. Twentieth century culinary writer Mary Fisher warned that “sharing food with another human being is an intimate act that should not be indulged in lightly,” but a meal shared between friends can be as meaningful as it is memorable. Some say the art of the dinner party - like the art of a good mixtape - has faded in these days of fast food and microwave meals but Tableism hopes to bring both back in fashion. Serving up just under three hours of choice cuts spanning soul, electronic, acoustic, ambient and funk flavours, this double-disc compilation has been lovingly crafted to be savvy and sumptuous in equal measures. We hope you’re hungry!
