Much like Ed Banger in France, or Boys Noize Records in Germany - Moda is hard to define. A collective of young, creative minds focused firmly on new music and killer parties. Between them they run events all over Europe, make everything from club-destroying techno to melancholy indie, present radio shows to millions of people at a time, and run the record label that has taken acts like Fenech Soler, Shake Aletti and Monarchy to the ears of the world.

Fronted by Radio 1's Jaymo & Andy George, Tom Staar and Ben (Toy Tigers), the Moda story properly began in the summer of 2006, when the boys threw the first in a series of constantly roadblocked loft-parties in their Midlands hometown, Lincoln.

DJ's such as Annie Mac, Crookers, Switch and DJ Touché became overnight ambassadors for the Moda movement and by 2008 it was time for a bigger home. That April, Moda moved to a 1600 capacity warehouse, just in time for Jaymo & Andy's first Radio 1 Essential Mix (recorded live at the club), marking the start of their relationship with the world’s most important radio station. Just six months later they had their own show.

Moda London launched in 2009. Instantly successful, each party saw hundreds of people turned away, making it one of the capital’s hottest tickets. Now in 2011, Moda runs regular events in London, Leicester, Lincoln and Oxford and special one-offs all over the UK. Moda's love affair with Ibiza is now heading into its third Summer - this time hosting the Terrace at We Love…Space on Sunday.

Moda Music, meanwhile, has quickly established itself as one of the hottest new talent stables in the world - and what better way to prove it than with the first ever Moda Compilation?

The album contains predominantly exclusive tracks, and features acts such as The Black Ghosts, Monarchy, Fenech Soler, and The Shoes. CD1 showcases the indie side of Moda; a collection of incredible new bands and songs that reflect the sub-midnight sound of their notorious parties. CD2, however, is straight up dancefloor business. From the filters of France and the chords of Detroit to Germanic techno drops - all mixed by Jaymo & Andy George.

As well as their own Radio 1 show, Jaymo & Andy regularly cover for Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Kissy Sell Out, and have even taken over Chris Moyles’ and Edith Bowman's daytime shows. When it comes to making their own music however, their credentials are equally impressive, with previous remixes for Miike Snow, Passion Pit, Fenech-Soler and their brand new 'Night Music' EP winning support from Fake Blood, Erol Alkan, Brodinski, Crookers, Jack Beats and many more.
