Youth

Back in 1998, a young Essex lad by the name of Kissy started playing around with a turntable at the ripe old age of 13. In his own words; ‘I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of remixing. I’ve been playing the electric guitar since I was 11 and used to focus on improvisation techniques rather than reading sheets of music or learning chords.’ We're sure glad he stuck with it.

Later discovered on Myspace by The Loose Cannons who feverishly championed him on their Kiss FM radio show, a succession of innovative, cutting edge remixes for artists including Mark Ronson, Calvin Harris, The Human League and Groove Armada to name a few, brought Kissy to the attention of public and media alike.

Now, he is bringing us his debut album Youth. To start, Kissy kicks things off with 'Through The Leaves,' an electro track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Daminal Kingdom is on the vocals whose English prose and delivery creates a unique British style sure to get you movin'. In 'Garden Friends,' the sound really thumps with an electro punch to the face... in a good way. The album continues to journey through the realm of piano riffs, clever drums, reverb, echo and electro from the past and future, which will please even the most snooty of eardrums.
