Sidney Samson

Hailing from the Netherlands, Sidney Samson has been perfecting his craft in the art of music since the tender of age 7 when he started played the guitar and from then on he knew that music was going to play a big part in his life….. 7 years later at the ripe old age of 14 Sidney’s world was about to change after attending the Dutch DMC world champion mixing comp, he was blown away with what he saw, never before had he seen anything like this and from then on he knew that DJing was the way forward… Goodbye guitar and hello turntables.

From 1995 to 1999, Hip Hop and RnB were Sidney’s focus and it wasn’t until he became resident at the biggest club in Holland “The Matrixx” that his love turned from Hip Hop to House and from then on Sidney was hooked, house was defiantly the route he wanted to go down…. 5 years later in 2003 saw Sidney’s first production be released “Its All Funked Up” which was on high rotation by a number of world class DJs and from then there was no stopping him, he was a studio junkie and went on to record dancefloor hits such as ‘Nobody Move’ ‘Rock This’ ‘Girls’ and ‘Aeroplane’

In 2007, after a few successful collaborations with Gregor Salto, he and Gregor decided to start a new record label named Samsobeats who’s releases have included the big summer hit ‘You Don’t Love Me’ which saw Sidney team up with the Skitzofrenix

2009 has saw Sidney release the biggest dance hit of the year ‘Riverside’ which has propelled Sidney into superstardom and he wont be stopping there as there is an album on the way which has some great collaborations on it.

With a keen eye for the best in the business, Ministry of Sound Australia were quick to scoop up Mr Samson to mix one disc of the next instalment of Clubbers Guide series ‘Clubbers Guide To Spring 2009’ due for release later this year.
