About

Kicking off your DJ career with winning a couple of DMC mixing competitions in Victoria is one way of getting noticed and now, many years later John Course is still one of the leading personalities in the Australian club scene.
Since those two DMC titles John has been part of the house music revolution in Australia. Closing the huge New Years Day event Summerdays to over 20,000 people, rocking the main stage to 20,000 plus clubbers at Stereosonic and playing between Eric Morillo and Fedde Le Grande at Sensation on New Years Eve in front of 40,000 plus are just some examples. He has, quite literally, played too many gigs along side the worlds biggest DJ's to list! John has mixed over 15 compilations including mixing the highest selling club CD in Australia "The Annual" for the last 5 years and there have been over a million John Course mix CD's sold in Australia alone, which is not bad for a country with a population of just over 21 million!
John has been a resident at the renowned Melbourne club One Love since it's inception, is one of the founders of Australia's Vicious records (home to Dirty South, Avicii, Madison Avenue, Sgt Slick and Vandalism just to name a few) and co-hosts the country's most influential dance music show Novanation which airs on the Nova network nationally every Saturday night.
Studio wise, John was one quarter of the team behind Blackout "Gotta Have Hope" that was a worldwide club hit back in 1998 and more recently teamed up with production partner mrTimothy, working under their Electro Funk Lovers guise.
John's technical skills are second to none and he brings his love of club music and DJing out in every set. From chunky vocal grooves to banging big room sounds, John's sets are renowned for getting a crowd pumping and building a vibe that always rocks the dance floor. It is easy to see why he is one of the most in demand and hardest working DJs in Australia
