Golden Girls was a side project to both Michael Hazell and Paul Hartnoll. Michael was producing music as ‘The Pied Piper’ and Paul Hartnoll, along with his brother, was Orbital, one of the most acclaimed electronic artists of the 20th century.
‘Kinetic’ was the only single the Golden Girls ever released, and it too was one of the most acclaimed tracks of the decade leading up to the millennium.
The single featured on well over 150 dance compilations worldwide, and in 1999 a handful of selected artists such as Hybrid, Slacker and Rhythm Masters were commissioned to remix this all time classic record, giving it fresh legs into the next century. The Slacker mix features on Ministry of Sound Mashed 4.
