Dirty South aka Dragan Roganovic has had an impressive rise to stardom. He made an instant name for himself in the dance music industry, impressing the who’s who of international DJ’s, producers, media and music lovers with his remix of “It’s Too Late” for Australian rock outfit Evermore. This remix was licensed to over 30 compilations worldwide, including Ministry of Sounds Sessions Three.
Dirty South has a natural ability to produce devastating dancefloor weapons, with an already impressive discography of original works, such as, ‘Such a Freak’, Spank’ and ‘Get Down’. He also collaborated with Paul Harris to create ‘Better Day’ which featured on Dirty South’s disc on Ministry of Sound Sessions Four, and also received the prestigious ‘Essential New Tune’ gong on Pete Tong’s Radio One show.
Dirty South also has an impressive remix portfolio which reads like an honour role of dance music’s finest, having reworked revered artists such as Depeche Mode, Roger Sanchez, Josh Wink, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Tracy Thorn, Chris Lake, Fedde Le Grande and Kaskade (his remix of ‘Sorry’ earnt him a nomination at the 2008 Grammy Awards for best Remix).
Proving his immense talent as producer and remixer, he was recently commissioned to complete an official remix for the Don of Hip Hop, Snoop Dogg. With only a few short years under his belt in the international production scene, Dirty South’s potential to achieve tremendous musical heights seems limitless. As his trademark blend of beats inspires more and more house lovers across the globe to sit up and take notice.
