Since his inception Joel Zimmerman a.k.a deadmau5 has stormed our planet with chart topping action, and has been playlisted by the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto (both of which labelled him the most notable producer of 2007), Pete Tong, Eric Prydz and Deep Dish.
deadmau5 was introduced to the world in February 2007 when a copy of his track ‘Faxing Berlin’ found its way to the hands of BBC Radio1 host Pete Tong. Since then deadmau5 has released online singles, started the record label mau5trap Recordings, and has been featured on at least 15 dance compilations in 2007, with his original track ‘Not Exactly’ making it onto one of Ministry of Sound’s first compilations for 2008, the Clubbers Guide To 2008.
deadmau5 has also collaborated with great effect with Joshua Obront a.ka Jelo. Their track ‘The Reward Is Cheese’ (which features on Ministry of Sound Electro House Sessions 2) is an absolute dance floor monster, with support from Axwell, Prydz and David Guetta to name a few.
Zimmerman’s production versatility and turn-around is astounding, with his sound ranging everywhere from Electro, Minimal, Tech, Progressive and Trance. In 2007 deadmau5 was involved in a staggering forty productions, during which time he remixed the likes of Daft Punk, Calvin Harris, Hybrid and Crystal Method.

What A Freak! I really do not know how Joel Zimmerman does this. I really just love "Ghosts 'N Stuff", that is a top notch tune. Most of the other stuff he does is really progressive and stuff that is not as good grows on you. I hope Deadmau5 can keep up his good work!
