We Played 'Would You Rather' With Stereo's Homegrown Heavyweights Timmy Trumpet, Peking Duk & MaRLo

The Steresonic 2015 lineup is here and boy have they pulled out the all-stops! Bringing it back to its original one-day format, Stereosonic has announced some of the biggest international artists in the world such as Armin Van Buuren, Axwell V Ingrosso and Galantis, who will be joining the already confirmed Major Lazer. The Australian contingent of artists on the line-up is looking bigger than ever, with Peking Duk, What So Not, Timmy Trumpet, Carmada, MaRLo and Will Sparks all taking on the national festival circuit.

To celebrate the announcement of the Stereosonic 2015 lineup, we decided to play 'Would You Rather' with a few of our friends at MoS HQ including Timmy Trumpet, Peking Duk and MaRLo. You can catch all three artists rocking their latest releases at Stereosonic 2015.

Would You Rather With Peking Duk

Since breaking through with their hit single 'High' at the beginning of 2014, Peking Duk have had a whirlwind 18 months. Having won Best Dance Release at the 2014 ARIA's for their smash hit 'High' ft. Nicole Millar, the party starting duo scored not one, but two tracks in the top five of Triple J's Hottest 100 in January of this year!

Crowned the winners of the Artist of the Year prize at the 2015 inthemix Awards and selling out their 'Peace, Love & Sweatiness' 2014 Australian tour, the Duk boys have showed no signs of slowing down. After smashing Coachella earlier this year, Peking Duk return to the main stage of Stereosonic after a very memorable 2014 set (Darude's 'Sandstorm' comeback, anyone?).

We caught up with Adam from Peking Duk before Stereo to talk what he would rather..

Q. Would you rather only be able to leave the house during the day or during the night?
A. The night. That way I could make music on my balcony all day then head out to get dinner and get jiggy every night.

Q. Would you rather play a gig where you can play whatever you like to 50 people, or play only songs you liked when you were 12 to 100 000 people?
A. Whatever I like to 50 people. There's a lot of amazing music that is happening right now, it's an exciting time.

Q. Would you rather be able to time travel or teleport?
A. Teleport. No more long haul flights and I could see friends all around the world in a millisecond… That'd be amazing.

Q. Would you rather have your entire internet browsing history published online, or be trapped in an elevator for 24 hours?

A. Internet browsing history for sure. There'd be some pretty wild things in there but everyones history is filled with weird shit and everyone watches porn too so it'd be all good.

Q
. Would you rather have to live your life naked for a week or fall asleep for a month?
A. Naked for sure. Nobody got time to lose a whole month.

Q. Would you rather live without music or internet?
A. Without internet for sure. I could definitely do it, it'd take a couple weeks to get used to it but then it'd be a real good time.

BONUS QUESTIONS…

Q. If you had to listen to one song 5 times every day for the rest of your life what would it be?
A. Wildcat by Ratatat or 3500 by Travi$ Scott.

Q. And last (but certainly not least!) - burgers, burritos, or pizza?
A. Man that's hard 'cos they are all the best food to eat. I'm gonna go with burritos 'cos they make me giddy and Reuben loves beans.

Would You Rather With Timmy Trumpet

Recently voted #1 DJ in Australia at the annual inthemix Awards, Timmy Trumpet is officially one of Australia's busiest musicians, hitting festivals, main rooms and super clubs around the world.

The Live DJ/trumpeter cross-over is no stranger to the Stereosonic stage, having hosted a giant crowd at the 2014 festival. With hits 'Freaks' with Savage, 'Hipsta' with Chardy and new collab 'Toca' with Carnage and KSHMR, expect a huge set from the Aus favourite.

Q. Would you rather only be able to leave the house during the day or during the night?
A. Night time is the right time which rhymes so must be true.

Q. Would you rather play a gig where you can play whatever you like to 50 people, or play only songs you liked when you were 12 to 100 000 people?
A. I was playing in jazz bands when I was 12 so I guess a Jazz DJ set could be pretty freaking cool!

Q. Would you rather be able to time travel or teleport?
A. Time travel is good but I've found teleporting more convenient lately.

Q. Would you rather have to live your life naked for a week or fall asleep for a month?
A. Sleeping is one of my favourite hobbies. So is being naked. I choose sleeping naked for 2 months.

Q. Would you rather live without music or internet?
A. Less emails. More music.

BONUS QUESTIONS…

Q. If you had to listen to one song 5 times every day for the rest of your life what would it be?
A. 'So What' by Miles Davis

Q. And last (but certainly not least!)- burgers, burritos, or pizza?
A. Pizza, always Pizza. Ever heated up a left over burrito or burger for breakfast the next day?

Would You Rather With MaRLo

Leaving a mark on charts, dance floors and music enthusiasts the world over, Dutch born, Australian raised MaRLo has established himself as the #1 Trance DJ in Australia. From Beatport #1's to headlining some of the most sought after dance events in the world, it's on stage and behind the decks where MaRLoreally ignites. Having graced the stages of the world's biggest festivals including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, MaRLo returns to the Stereosonic stage in 2015. Expect a show like none other!

Q. Would you rather only be able to leave the house during the day or during the night?
A. At night, otherwise I would be jobless.

Q. Would you rather play a gig where you can play whatever you like to 50 people, or play only songs you liked when you were 12 to 100 000 people?
A. Definitely the first one because I like to play what I like, regardless of the audience size.

Q. Would you rather be able to time travel or teleport?
A. Teleport, so I can save time travelling from gig to gig and more time at home with my wife and dog.

Q. Would you rather have your entire internet browsing history published online, or be trapped in an elevator for 24 hours?
A. Internet history – I've got nothing to hide :)

Q. Would you rather have to live your life naked for a week or fall asleep for a month?
A. Naked for a week – for the same reason as above – I've got nothing to hide.

Q. Would you rather live without music or internet?
A. Internet, because I can't live without music.

BONUS QUESTIONS…

Q. If you had to listen to one song 5 times every day for the rest of your life what would it be?
A. A recording of whales mating.

Q. And last (but certainly not least!)- burgers, burritos, or pizza?
A. Pizza, because well, Pizza…
