Tune Of The Week: Father Dude - Bring Us Back

Father Dude is quickly becoming one of the most sought after vocalists in the electronic music community. Since 2014, he has continued to gain momentum through collaborations with producers such as TroyBoi, !llmind, Saturn and GRMM. His collaboration on Perth-based duo Slumberjack's song Body Cry helped their respective EP reach #2 on the Australian iTunes Electronic Charts.

With over 6 million plays across Soundcloud, Father Dude's unique and soulful approach is well on its way to dominating 2015. As a core member of the artist collective Hegemon, Father Dude has worked with fellow members to create tracks that have gained them recognition across the EDM community and has helped lead Hegemon to over 8 million SoundCloud plays in under 12 months.

Father Dude has been working feverishly in studios throughout New York City to create his debut EP. Bring Us Back is his first single through imprint etcetc, who's roster includes the likes of Kilter, Paces, Set Mo and Luke Million. Equal parts electronic and chill, Father Dude delivers his heartfelt lyrics to a spirited electronic bed of piano chords, synth beats and guitar.

With an extensive range of influences from Frank Zappa to Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson to Mike Patton and Dr. Dre, it's no surprise that Bring Us Back blends a variety of genres. With elements of R&B mixed together with rock guitars and dance influence, Father Dude presents his original sound sure to surpass his already successful feature work.

Bring Us Back will appear on Father Dude's debut EP due for release later this year. This first track sets the tone for Father Dude as he continues to add to his high profile in the electronic community with every new release.
