Brand new touring agency, Nuffsaid, is bringing N.W.A founding member DJ Yella to Australia and New Zealand this November for a massive tour.
The hip hop legend kicks off his tour in New Zealand at San Fran in Wellington, before heading down to Christchurch and Auckland before his Australian leg to Newcastle, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney.
DJ Yella was a founding member of rap group N.W.A, producing hits alongside Dr. Dre, Eazy E, Ice Cube & Ren at Ruthless Records, impacting hip hop and the music industry since their incarnation. DJ Yella (born Antoine Carraby) also pitched in with Dre and Arabian Prince to produce Eazy-E's 1988 solo album. Once recruited into N.W.A., he produced their three full-length albums, as well.
After N.W.A disbanded, DJ Yella continued to work with Eazy E on new material, right up until his death. After Eazy E's funeral, DJ Yella went onto release a solo album in '96 called 'One Mo Nigga ta Go', reaching number 23 in the US charts.
He soon stepped away from the music scene and began producing films. In the Summer of 2012, DJ Yella returned to the music industry and released a new album, entitled West Coastin', which reignited his friendship with his former N.W.A members, thus contributing to the BIO film script, Straight Outta Compton and now he is back behind the decks touring the world telling his West Coast Story.
