Get your downward dog ready because Ministry of Sound Australia has teamed up with Flow Athletic for the final Flow After Dark silent yoga disco of 2016 on Thursday, October 20th at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney's Moore Park.
The concept of Flow After Dark started with a small event to 200 Flow Athletic members in February this year. Due to the overwhelming response, Flow Athletic has had to keep finding bigger and better locations to fit everyone in. There has now been five events across three states with more planned for 2017.
Ministry of Sound will be collaborating with resident DJ James Mack and Australia's #1 yoga instructor, Kate Kendall, on what will be the most exciting Flow After Dark of the year.
"Having Ministry of Sound partner with our event is huge for not only us, but for active lifestyle events in general," says Kendall."There's no doubt that there has been a huge interest and growth in 'healthy nights out'. Flow After Dark keeps gaining more and more traction (and even international interest) after every event that we do that we need to keep finding spaces big enough to fit everyone, not to mention that other active social events have been selling out across Australia too! Having a brand such a Ministry of Sound show interest in us is a huge honour and a big thing for our industry."
Duncan Collins from Ministry of Sound adds, "The convergence of technology and music has allowed there to be a highly defined soundtrack to suit every activity, and electronic music features heavily in many areas. While Ministry of Sound has traditionally been more high intensity, a large proportion of fans are also into yoga, meditation and the deeper end of the electronic scene. Working with Flow Athletic has allowed us to build a cutting edge soundtrack to complement the world class fitness event – and when we can put a track from Jamie XX next to Odesza next to a deeper mix of a Diplo record, it becomes really interesting."
