Kilter & Lanks strip 'Count on Me' in very rare acoustic performance

Kilter, a Sydney-based producer, has accumulated a fortune of tastemaker support from all corners of the globe. In February this year, he released 'Count on Me', a perfect blend of gritty production and classic instrumentation brought together by the superb song-writing of Melbourne's own Lanks. This release is only a taste of what Kilter has to offer, with a debut album said to be in the works.

The success doesn't stop there, Kilter also has his North American Tour coming up in April. (Tour dates found below).

More recently, Kilter and Lanks reunited to perform a live, stripped-down, acoustic version of the track at Low302, a small Surry Hills venue. Kilter explains the reasoning behind the performance:

"I wanted to pull back all the high-energy percussion and tricks in the production to show the song in a different light...where [Lanks] would really shine... and I could play a grand piano."

All the extra space offers room for Lank's to open up and showcase his insane vocals. The mood is vastly different from the original, more relaxed and reflective, allowing listeners to focus on the meaning behind the lyrics.
