Wynter Gordon 'Dirty Talk' (Laidback Luke mix)
The Dutch sound was big this year, but I never really liked playing the straight up stuff. This mix combines the Dutch vibe with amazing melodies and one hell of a bassline... Laidback Luke on fire. Such big reactions when I play this out.
Mark Ronson and the Business International 'Record Collection'
Who says this man can’t write original music? Awesome collabs and proves he's one of the most innovative producers around today. My faves off the album are 'Glass Mountain Trust' & 'Lose it'. There's a mix of 'Bang Bang Bang' on Tommy’s disc.
Gorillaz 'Melancholy Hill'
I love Plastic Beach as an album, bought it the day it came out. It’s a real journey becoming more like a sound-scape than an album once you listen to it through a few times. I couldn't have put the original on the Annual but we managed to get hold of the AN21 and Max Vangelli mix which pays respect to the original extremely well.
Aloe Blacc 'I Need A Dollar' (Tensnake Remix)
Tensnake had one of the biggest records of the year with Coma Cat, but I came across this last month which I think I love even more than Coma Cat.
Rusko 'Hold On' ft. Amber Coffman (Sub Focus Remix)
Holy moly what a mix. The hardcore Dubstep crew probably think this is total cheese... but it crossed over in a massive way! It's only a matter of time before you'll be hearing records like this on commercial radio in Australia. If you haven't heard it, you need this record in your life.
