Trap as a genre has been kicking around for a while now, so you've probably basically worked out what it sounds like and know some people who produce it. But for those of us who aren't quite #fam or #squad status just yet, trap terms can sound like a whole other language.
But don't stress, we got chu. Here we present to you a definitive guide to trap terms to take you from fuccboi to lord quicker than you can say 'damn son, where'd you find this?'
Fire (variations, fiyahhh): very good
Sick: very good
v.rare: very rare/does not usually happen
Dank: very good
On lock: under control
Basic: describes a person or behaviour that is unsophisticated or obscenely obvious
Lit: very good or crazy
RN: right now
AF: as fuck (add on the end to accentuate how sick/dank/dope/lit anything is)
e.g. 'Chinese Laundry was lit/sick/dank/dope AF last night'
Beast mode: the stage one reaches when they are truly doing really well at said task
Swag: the level in which someone presents themselves to their peers (i.e. quite well)
Keep it 100: to keep yourself real and true (not to be mistaken with #tru – see below)
Rinse: a dance which has somehow found its way to Australian shores
Trap arms: number one dance move - similar to a fist pump with more emphasis on the downward motion and simultaneous bouncing around
Ndiuaohf8R9G37YPRHVWksnjqgr (random smashing of keyboard): means really, really excited, similar to non-trap slang 'I can't even'
e.g. 'jwevwgnfjdskbvuriwhlavoafjd, you got swag bruh, keep it 100'
Wile out: go crazy
Roll up: to roll up a joint/arrive at said destination

SMH: shaking my head
e.g. 'roll up and wile out, we're going in on this one, this club is turnt'
Fam: friends who also like trap
Squad: friends who also like trap
Fuccboi: someone that has inferior levels of swag to you, is unknowledgeable about trap or just generally lacks good judgement
Trap queen/trap shawty: girl
Lord: very good person
Tru: that is a good point you have made there
'The whole squads turning up, you gotta come thru! Don't be a fuccboi'
Come thru: I invite you to come to said event/location
Finna: trying to
'Shieeet': correct way to say shit (usually means good)
'You trying to hit a club': hey friend, would you like to come out with me tonight?
'Bruh': 'oh wow, I can't believe it'
'What are thooooooooooooooooooooooooose?!': what is that footwear you are you wearing?
X, Z, V or $: substitute for other letters, take out vowels in words for good measure e.g. HDYNTN
