Favored Nations have announced their Australian tour along with release date for their anticipated debut album 'The Great Unknown'. The three-piece band made up of eccentric front man Morgan Phalen NYC's Diamond Nights, Justice collaborator) Surahn Sidhu (DFA Records and co-writer for Usher, Kimbra) and James Curd (Greenskeepers and solo artist of Classic Music, Defected, DFA Records) will hit the national highway kicking off 28th October playing Sydney, Geelong, Melbourne, Manly and Adelaide.
With praise already from the likes of SPIN, Buzzfeed and NOISEY, Favored Nation's second single LP 'I Can See You' premieres with US Fashion and culture media channel, PaperMag.com. The dream-wave single traversing funk, rock, and disco conjuring musical pairing alongside Fleetwood Mac, Beach Boys and LCD Soundystem while the band's 18-tracks of sunlit pop is available from 25th September on etcetc Music.
Singer Morgan Phalen says, "It's impossible to define the space from which our music is coming from. They are very immediate songs you could sing to, or dance to—they're almost useful songs, in a lot of ways. They're able to accompany... living. We feel lucky enough to create the way we do. It's always been about trying to craft interesting pop songs that make people think and dance at the same time."
