On The Download May/April with Ben Morris

Ministry of Sound's bimonthly On The Download mix is back with local legend Ben Morris on mixing duties. Ben Morris is a name synonymous with the dance music in Australia, having a solid track record with his releases regularly appearing on the ARIA club charts as well as massive sets at some of Australia's biggest festivals over the last few years including Stereosonic, Future Music Festival, Big Day Out, Summadayze and Sensation White. Currently dominating dancefloors around the country, Ben has been a solid fixture at Australia's number 1 nightclub Pacha Sydney for the past few years, and with the release of his latest single Shine with AK9 & Venuto, there seems to be no slowing down.

Ahead of the release of On The Download April/May, Ben Morris has shared with us some of his favourite tracks on the mix compilation.

AK9, Ben Morris & Venuto - Shine feat Yogi

This track has been a project of mine for a couple of years. Venuto and I wrote the lyrics with Yogi and had a few versions we were never quite happy with. Once I got AK9 involved the magic happened and we ended up with our final version.

Set Mo - White Dress

The Set Mo lads have nailed it with White Dress. It has a 90's vibe but sounds fresh. I have had it on repeat since I grabbed it.

Friendless - Into The Blue

I don't really like friendless, but he makes great house music so I had to include his new one in the mix. Such a cracking bass line and vocal.

Pep & Resh – Rumours

These guys nailed the future house vibe without sounding too cliché. There is so much of this sound floating around but these guys manage to stand out with this release.

Chili Hi Fly – Is It Love (AK9 Remix)

Having been a fan of the original record in 2001, it was great to see it get such a cracking remix from Poland's, ak9. This is feel good house.
