Meet This Year's DJ's: The Only & Danny T

Pre-order Clubber's Guide to Spring now

We think this may be the best Clubber’s Guide to Spring…ever. Really! And we know that we owe this statement to the stars of this year's mix - The Only and Danny T.

Mixing up a storm on Disc-1 we have The Only; who have been on the scene for 3 years now and in that short time have racked up a huge amount of success. The future shows no signs of slowing down either! In the past 12 months they mixed the biggest dance album in Australia, had a #1 ARIA chart, played sell out shows across the country and signed a record deal with Ministry of Sound. Their debut single 'The Only Fucking Rave Party' landed in the ARIA Singles Chart Top 50, ahead of its official release without any radio play. And with such a grand entry, it wasn’t long before ears began pricking up all over the globe, with artists including The Bloody Beetroots, Chuckie, Tocadisco & Tiesto all reverently pushing The Only’s sound. Steve Aoki has also taken notice, including 'The Only Fucking Rave Party' on his Sessions mix compilation.

Following on with an equally strong tracklist for Disc-2 is Danny T; Queensland’s greatest export! Born and bred on a healthy dose of Switch, Diplo, Jesse Rose and Claude Vonstroke, with sprinkles of Jurassic 5 and Big L for good measure; this twenty-something facial hair aficionado transcends genres in a futuristically booty-full exploration of bass-lines and jacked-up grooves. His debutant releases pricked the ears of Sweat It Out head towel and Dance Legend, Ajax (RIP), with a sexed-out-sax-jam ‘Jazzcat’ which ultimately landed his own debut EP on the imprint shortly after. This break-through release was followed by a succession of dancefloor flavoured chart toppers including ‘Whine Ya Waistline (feat. Oh Snap!)’, ‘Sex Tonight (feat. Born I Music)’, ‘Delicious (feat. Oh Snap!)’, and his recent African inspired house masterpiece ‘Serenghetto’.

We caught up with the boys on those all important dance music facts!
