November 16 2015
After recently touring Australia in October and remixing the latest thumper 'Push' from Kronic, Far East Movement and Savage, Dr Fresch has been leaving a strong mark on his Aussie fans. Hailing from the underground scene in downtown LA, Dr. Fresch is one of the more predominant artists who have broken through to become an established artist with a cult following. As an artist who is always ahead of the curve in knowing what's hot in the LA underground right now, Dr. Fresch has shared with us his Top 5 Artists who are about to blow in 2016.
Dr.Fresch's Remix of Push is out Friday November 20.
Fresch: Want to quickly give a shoutout to three artists of my label (Prep School Recordings) – Ardency, Louis Vivet, Loud Luxury, all artists looking forward to a huge 2016, but wanted to compile a list outside my immediate circle – here are five artists that I play out and support regularly who are injecting life into the scene!
I love how Baewatch's brand encompasses elements of Trap and Bass House, and how their music translates beautifully on a festival stage, and in the club.
Dapp definitely has a huge year ahead – another example of an artist who's style floats between genres and maintains consistency with sound design.
I love Loge21 because their music retains elements of classic UK house but has a healthy amount of modern bass house – great records for my club sets.
I think I've played at least one Fawks record in each of my sets for the last six months, haha – his fusion of Future House, Bass House, and Hip-Hop is incredibly unique, excited see him continue to work with original rap verses – I think this could be a huge factor in skyrocketing him through the ranks of the scene!
I love this record so much – huge fan of Skitzofrenix for bringing the future / bass / indie house audience the energy they want, but with a completely new approach to bass sound design.
Push (Dr. Fresh Remix) is out Friday November 20.
