Ministry of Sound Australia's A&R/head honcho Jeff Drake took to Reddit to offer a behind the scenes look into the role of an A&R, as well as providing secrets, tips and feedback to aspiring producers. As the head of Artists & Repertoire (A&R) for Ministry of Sound Australia, Jeff has been heavily involved with the releases of over 10 Gold, Platinum, or multi-platinum selling records in the last 18 months, including Timmy Trumpet & Savage's 5x Platinum hit Freaks. Founder and director of Canberra's Foreshore festival, Jeff has toured some of the biggest artists in the world from Above & Beyond, Calvin Harris and Major Lazer, to The Temper Trap, Empire of The Sun and Gotye.
