To get the slickest Australia Day weekend party started, 2009 sees Family host two international guests of superstar proportions.

Hurled across the Pacific from San Fran, Claude VonStroke is set to join Berlin’s boy about the town, Ewan Pearson at Family this Australia Day.

Slogging it out with more-than-enough prowess and vigor to make the Diggers proud, Claude VonStroke will take to the Mainroom with force. Claude VonStroke has produced and remixed some of the most pioneering, exciting, and hippest tracks of the past three years. Making tight, beautiful, and gritty beats, the man behind two of the world’s hottest label, dirtybird and mothership had a whirlwind entry into the global electronic music scene.

Having released his first record in late 2005, VonStroke became hot property throughout 2006 with his tracks ‘Deepthroat’ and ‘Who’s Afraid Of Detroit?’ and debut album ‘Beware The Bird’ caned by house, tech and electro DJs around the world.

Keeping the jolly swagman’s campfire stoked upstairs in Uncle, uber-producer and re-mixer, Ewan Pearson is set to lay tracks more epic than the hype for Baz Luhrmann’s film.

Having remixed the likes of Seelenluft, Ladytron, Depeche Mode, The Rapture, Goldfrapp and The Chemical Brothers, Ewan is a certified Jack of all trades. Credited as a classically trained pianist and cellist with a degree in English literature and a masters in philosophy and cultural studies, Ewan Pearson is set to deliver a lesson or two when he hits uncle – Get educated with Ewan Pearson, Saturday @ Family January 24.
