Nick Drabble and Stu Turner are the guys behind the house inspired DJ/Producer project, Set Mo.
The Sydney pair began crafting the Set Mo vibe in the early months of 2013 using their mutual passion for infectious housey grooves, deep disco sounds and banging club beats as their main drive. Their mutual goals made working together an easy task, while their individual tastes and complimenting skill-sets had their music-making process seem like it was simply meant to be.
By the end of 2013, Set Mo had produced and released their first two singles, 'Keep On' and 'Still Waters,' both of which received national radio air-play as well as local and international website support.
Set Mo continued to flourish well into 2014, with a string of club-worthy remixes, winning them the attention of the influential online music community inthemix, and being named in their 'Top 10 producers to watch in 2014'. Shortly after they were picked up by local label etcetc, just in time for the release of their debut EP, The Crush.
With a continuous roster of tour supports and club gigs across Australia and Europe, along with an unrelenting schedule of collaborative creative projects with local and international artists, vocalists and musicians, Set Mo are paving the way for a strong future in the global dance music scene.
Set Mo hit again in 2015 with a few massive releases that ended up propelling their names to the forefront of the Australian Dance Music scene. In the first half of the year, after returning to the studio from a week in Ibiza, Set Mo, with the help of studio-neighbour Deutsch Duke released a bronzed skin & golden beach inspired tropical house track called 'White Dress'. White Dress made it all the way to the top, earning #1 spot on Hype Machine & top 10 in the Aria Club Chart. It also put Set Mo on stride to join the elites of Aussie dance music. In the latter half of the year Set Mo struck again, this time with a track by the name of Chasing Forever, which was another groovy tropical house track, time with the assistance from soulful vocalist ALPHAMAMA. Chasing Forever became yet another track that was picked up both locally and internationally, adding to their string of recent hits. It also cast Set Mo out on their huge Chasing Forever national tour where they played 13 shows to their adoring fans - those of which who were rapidly increasing in numbers.
It is no doubt that 2015 was Set Mo's biggest year to date and so we are beyond keen to see what they have in store for us next!
