John Dahlback

As one of the most well known names on the house music circuit, it is startling to discover that John Dahlbäck is one of the youngest producers on the scene today. Born into a musical Swedish family in 1985, Dahlbäck grew up with a strong music background, however it was through his older cousin Jesper that he was introduced to the world of house music.

In his short and fruitful career, John Dahlbäck has accrued a discography that reads like a production veteran, with his first track ‘Music So Sweet’ released when he was still too young to go out clubbing!

He also writes music under alias’ such as ‘Huggotron’ and ‘Kaliber’, and also collaborates with his cousin Jesper as ‘Dahlbäck & Dahlbäck’ and ‘Hugg & Pepp’, with whom he has set up the label ‘Dahlbäck Records’.

John has quickly gained a following in the international dance community, and subsequently many of his releases have featured on dance compilations worldwide. Locally, his track ‘I’m Rave’ featured on Mark Dynamix’s (Ministry of Sound) Mixtape, ‘Everywhere’ featured on the 2008 Ministry of Sound Annual, ‘Hustle Up’ featured on Ministry of Sound’s Clubbers Guide To 2008 and ‘Blink’ features on the Ministry of Sound Electro House Sessions 2.
