Alter Ego is Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke. This production duo out of Germany came together in the late 80’s, making them one of the pioneers in the sound of modern electronic music as we know it today.
They have had a number of successes on the production front, but it was there 2004 release ‘Rocker’ that made the international dance community take notice. The track went on to be licensed to over 70 compilations worldwide, including the Ministry of Sound 2005 Annual, Ministry of Sound Clubbers Guide to 2005, and the Poxymusic Remix featured on the 2005 Ministry of Sound Kid Kenobi Sessions.
In 2007 Alter Ego released their album titled Why Not?, which was also the title of the lead single off the EP which is featured on the Ministry of Sound 2008 Annual with the Joakim remix on the Clubbers Guide to 2008 and the Tim Deluxe mix on the Ministry of Sound Electro House Sessions 2 compilation. The album also featured the single ‘Fuckingham Palace’ (which features on Ministry of Sound Mashed 4).
Alter Ego have also remixed a variety of artists such as Human League, Pet Shop Boys, Sven Vath, Primal Scream and Cabaret Voltaire.
